Susan: Inwood Hill Park, at the northern tip of the island of Manhattan, offers 196.4 acres of natural beauty in a city of 8.4 million people. The park opened in 1926 on land that was home, before 1715, to Native Americans known as the Lenape. This blog traces a year in the natural life of the park.
